This is the first post to this blog, which is dedicated to fighting elder abuse and exposing the issues that face our elders in the various sectors of the long-term care system throughout the country. My Elder Advocate will deal with nursing homes, hospitals, adult homes, assisted living facilities, and even regulatory agencies. We are going to highlight the good, the bad, and the ugly. Yes, there is a lot of good out there and we will highlight what is good about the system.
My Elder Advocate is planning to incorporate podcasts into this blog in the near future. We will interview professionals from every sector of our elder care system throughout the country: regulatory experts, government experts, doctors, elder law attorneys, and anyone else who can help us to maneuver the elder care system: that is the purpose of My Elder Advocate.
My Elder Advocate helps people navigate the maze of elder care services in New York and throughout the country. My Elder Advocate seeks the truth and will explore all facets of the elder care system. We’ll deal with abuse and neglect, tell the truth and expose the negative features of the system, and hold people accountable. My Elder Advocate wants accountable care for all.
